RGB Construction renovation features on BBC

RGB Construction renovation features on the Cardiff: Wildcard episode of BBC One TV programme Best House in Town

In a world where monochrome, sleek lines and modern appeal is largely the style of choice for many home improvement projects, a recent renovation project that we undertook in the heart of Cardiff provided a breath of fresh air.

Fresh air in all colours of the rainbow, we must add!

An end of terrace house in the ever-popular area of Roath has two homeowners who, like most, opted to renovate their property in a way that best reflects their style and personality.

What was to come? Plenty of colour, vibrancy and stunningly eccentric retro vibes - that's what!

So much so, the property featured as an entry on the Cardiff: Wildcard episode of BBC One's popular "Best House in Town" TV programme, and it has also had an extensive article published on WalesOnline.

Unique kitchen renovation with colourful retro style

The RGB Construction team were drafted in to renovate the kitchen. It was once a very standard and neutral looking kitchen. It wasn't out to cause any offence, and it was as you'd expect to find most kitchens that haven't received any major updates over the past 10-20 years.

Below is how the kitchen looked before and after it's renovation and colourful new make-over.

Creative upcycling was the order of the day

Instead of gutting the kitchen and re-fitting it with an entire new design and modern surfaces, the homeowners upcycled the existing kitchen units and cabinets to create an incredible visual journey that combines a variety of different eras and colours in a fabulously unique way. Seriously funky, we're sure you'd agree.

It's not just the kitchen that received an eccentric make-over either, as the entire house has since been re-vamped in exactly the same way, with a glorious mix-n-match of styles, patterns and upcycled items collaborating together throughout the rooms. Even the garden and funky loft conversion were included!

It may be an acquired preference, but we all acquire our very own personal taste, and we're all about creating a home that reflects our personality and allows us to well and truly put our own personal stamp on it. From decorating and upcycling old items, or installing brand new units and state-of-the-art household goods, through to large renovation projects that change or add space to an existing house - it's true that all styles and tastes can help bring a property out of its shell and transform it into exactly what you want it to be.

You never know what wonders lay behind the front door of a property, so for now we'll simply let you appreciate more pictures of this bold and beautiful Cardiff property.
